Spring updates: From DEVONsphere Express to XMenu
Right in time for spring here in the US and in Europe we’ve done some traditional spring cleaning and prepared a few updates for you:
DEVONsphere Express 1.9.1 brings performance-related improvements and works better with the AFPS filesystem. It now also searches text in PDF annotations and forms, handles ePub books better, and improves finding related websites. Auto-completing search terms makes typing queries more comfortable.
CalcService 3.5 supports also numbers with separators, e.g., copied from an invoice or account statement. WordService 2.8.2 sorts rich text and correctly sorts numbers. The “Initial caps of sentences” command now capitalizes the first word after paragraph separators or multiple line feeds too.
Finally, XMenu 1.9.9 brings Retina-optimized icons for its menus and uses custom icons of volume aliases. It resolves aliases faster and supports App Transport Security on OS X El Capitan and later. If required, it moves itself into the Applications folder.
We recommend these free updates to all users. Get them directly by using the apps’ update function or from our Download page. If you installed any of these apps from the Mac App Store you’ll receive the updates as soon as they have passed Apple’s review.
