Coeur d’Alene, Idaho — As it is the tradition, DEVONtechnologies and other independent Mac software companies get together for a winter festival that’s all about hand-crafted software for writers, designers, and thinkers. Apps created with love by small shops and built around openness and interoperability. During WinterFest they sell for a good but sustainable discount.

For a limited time, DEVONtechnologies and other independent Mac software companies offer their apps and ebooks for writers, designers, thinkers, and researchers for a great price and directly from the people who make them.

WinterFest is a collaboration of independent software developers sharing a common vision: enabling people to use their Macs for researching and writing, for being creative. All products in WinterFest are the dedicated work of a small team, some even of an individual, and are designed to address the many challenges that writers, authors, or researchers face when they roll up their sleeves and get to work creating something new. Already by their very DNA, they are the opposite of one-size-fits-all products made by large, faceless corporations.

Over the years the software scene has seen a concentration on very few very large players and centralized services — social networks and search giants come to mind. Their products are designed to appeal to the largest number of people possible. But you don’t set up individual workflows, do fine-tuned research, or solve non-standard problems with standard software. All the products in WinterFest are from small, independent companies that have a clear focus on what writers, researchers, and knowledge workers need.

All participating companies offer discounts on their WinterFest products. For DEVONthink and DEVONagent Pro the 25% discount can also be used for purchasing upgrades but cannot be combined with other others like, e.g., the student & educators discount.
