DEVONthink To Go 3.1
Apparently it’s still rain season in Europe, so we are using our indoor hours for working on our apps. Here’s version 3.1 of DEVONthink To Go. It brings new features and improvements ranging from more accurate OCR and new supported languages to PDF templates, new keyboard commands, and much improved Markdown rendering.
The built-in text recognition (OCR) adds Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Ukrainian. In addition it now uses the faster and more accurate iOS Vision framework for English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Take notes using the Apple Pencil and all standard PDF annotations tools with new predefined PDF templates for empty pages and pages with lines or a grid. Navigate your databases and groups, manipulate items, or open some of the most often used popovers with an external keyboard.
The Markdown rendering is now based based on the same code as DEVONthink for Mac 3.7 and supports, e.g., file transclusions, checkboxes, and highlighting in all common syntax styles. Insert text blocks dynamically and edit them separately and for all your documents at once.
Other improvements include previews for URLs and the option to add comments in the New Document Assistant. Clip web pages or just any URL to PDF or clutter-free PDF. You can now also disable dark mode for document formats other than PDF.
You can find a complete list of all changes by choosing ?⃝ > Release Notes on the database screen. We recommend this free update to all users of DEVONthink To Go. Get it from the Updates area of the App Store.
