DEVONthink 3.8.7

November 30, 2022 — Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann

Today’s update for DEVONthink for Mac brings several additions, improvements, and fixes.

Version 3.8.7 displays highlights in HTML-based documents in the Annotations inspector and lets you summarize them. A submenu of the Reveal contextual menu command gives you easy access to the location of replicated or duplicated items, and a new menu item lets you open the Info popover for a tag directly from any tagging field, e.g., the Tags bar.

For WikiLinks, aliases can now be separated by a delimiter you define. And if you are a user of the Pro or Server edition you can export a PDF of the Concordance inspector’s related words graph or word cloud. DEVONthink 3.8.7 also adds support for clipping from the Orion web browser.

Some of the many other improvements include an overhauled Install Add-Ons panel that shows more clearly what each item is and if it is properly installed. For the AppleScript connoisseurs we have a number number of improvements and fixes, too, together with many more reliability and performance enhancements for all users.

You can find a complete list of all improvements by choosing Help > Release Notes inside the application. We recommend this free update to all users of DEVONthink for Mac. Get it by using the application’s update function or from our Download page.
