How to Colorize Your Groups

For many people, color is a useful visual aid in recognition and organization. Starting with DEVONthink 4 Copernicus, we added support for colorizing groups. This can be helpful if you have many groups or if you want to organize them based on certain criteria.
To colorize a group, select it and open the Generic info via Tools > Get Info or Tools > Inspectors > Info: Generic. Click the color well and choose the color for the group.
To access even more colors, click the color and then Show Colors to open the macOS color picker. You can watch the color of the group change interactively as you’re choosing your colors. And if you find a color you like and want to store it for future use, drag it from the color well in the color picker (next to the eyedropper) to the row of squares.
To quickly apply a group’s color to other groups, select the group, click on Color next to the color well, and choose Copy. Then select the other group, open the popup, and click Paste. If you want to go back to DEVONthink’s default blue color, open the Color popup and press Clear.
Note: This will not color custom icons you’ve added to a group.
