DEVONthink and Geo-Location Services

With the addition of simple geo-location support to our upcoming iPhone application (see: It’s Beta Time Again) and the rise of Facebook and Twitter, one of the next releases of DEVONthink will support geo-location and social network services, too.

The screenshot below gives you a first draft of the implementation showing the location where documents were created (in this case a collection of reviews and blog postings, thence the wide spread) and buttons for quickly sharing documents or location/movement information on Facebook and Twitter to keep your friends updated on your research progress. Filters will allow you to limit shown results on area or time frame (such as: all documents created on April 1, 2010).
