Hurricane Sandy: We're Completely Back Online
As hurricane Sandy hit the US east cost the data center hosting our backend database went offline. We hope to be fully online again in a few hours. Thank you for your patience!
An update from our data center:
Due to severe and widespread damage on Long Island caused by Hurricane Sandy, our datacenter has lost all connectivity and all services are down. All three of our fiber vendors are working on the issue, however the life-threatening conditions that are expected to persist throughout the night are preventing any real repair work. We’ll do our best to restore service ASAP.
Already yesterday evening (European time) we restored our website by using an alternative server hosted on Amazon EC2 that we will use as a fallback in the future (or a replacement for the current data center).
Now our data center has restored connectivity and we are switching back. Thank you again for your patience!
