We Sync This is Truly Exciting (Spoken with German Accent)
July 15, 2011 — Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann
For quite a while we have been talking about adding sync capabilities to DEVONthink that allow to sync databases between multiple Macs. I am proud to announce that today we have distributed the first alpha to our team of beta testers with another (and last) alpha following early August before we start the public beta test in later August.
The sync technology allow you to synchronize all your databases directly between Macs on the local network as well as over-the-air using e.g. Dropbox, WebDAV, your own AFP file servers, as well as — later — iCloud. As soon as the beta team testing is over and all is working as expected we will add the new technology also to DEVONthink To Go replacing the current sync code completely.
