How to Scan and Archive Email

As part of the unified interface of DEVONthink 3, some functions are now found in dedicated sidebars instead of opening separate windows. These sidebars are on the left side of every main window you open, and display an icon for each.

For example, the scan and email import functionality got a more prominent place. Instead of being buried in the File > Import submenu, both commands are now directly available from the sidebar of DEVONthink Pro and Server. Select View > Import to show the sidebar and switch to the tab.

The Image Capture section shows familiar but updated controls previously seen in the scanning interface window. The Emails section gives you access to mailboxes and email messages from Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook in an interface very similar to the email archiving window of DEVONthink 2.
