DEVONthink 3.0.4 brings refinements and bug fixes. The enhanced dark mode allows for showing documents with a bright background while leaving the rest of the user interface in the dark.

Better keyboard navigation makes accessing items through popovers much faster. You can also create new groups directly from the Data > Move popover with a new button. Search for words by Option-clicking them or by using the extended contextual menu. We have also enhanced the sidebar further to make it a more useful citizen.

Indexing and syncing indexed files has been improved, too, even with items located in iCloud. Longer-running scripts block the sync to avoid problems, and the editor for smart rules and reminders shows error messages. This makes debugging easier.

Starting with version 3.0.4, the Pro edition recognizes scans made with the Brother iPrint & Scan software. It also creates PDFs with higher image quality when running them through OCR. In addition, entering metadata for incoming scans no longer stops the OCR from processing other documents.

As usual, the update improves the performance and reliability and addresses some issues and crashes.
