DEVONthink 3.6.2
What would be CloudKit sync support in DEVONthink To Go 3.0 without its Mac counterpart? Say hello to DEVONthink 3.6.2 for Mac.
iCloud is a system comprised of multiple parts, one being a file service responsible, e.g., for iCloud Drive, and another, CloudKit, storing and transferring data via a cloud database. DEVONthink 3.6.2 offers new iCloud (CloudKit) sync locations combining iCloud-like easy setup and a single-stage, transparent, and fast synchronization.
That not being enough DEVONthink now uses CriticMarkup more extensively for formatting, conversion, and when creating summaries. It also supports some alternate highlighting and strikethrough Markdown syntax. Create diagrams in Markdown documents with Mermaid.js.
DEVONthink 3.6.2 exports documents in Microsoft Word’s .docx
format, summarizes highlights as sheets, or converts all WikiLinks in a document to robust item links when desired. Exporting as Unix mailboxes supports saving email messages from selected groups or smart groups. Automators will like improvements to some AppleScript commands and a new smart rule script designed to move items similar to Evernote’s email filing. The update also improves compatibility to, e.g., HoudahSpot, as well as the overall performance and reliability.
Did we mention the new app icon? We’ve updated it to match the Mac’s new style that came with macOS Big Sur.
You can find a complete list of all improvements by choosing Help > Release Notes inside the application. We recommend this free update to all users of DEVONthink 3. Get it by using the application’s update function or from our Download page.
