After the release of DEVONthink 3 for Mac and subsequent updates, which consumed quite a part of our energy for a while, we used the last few months to work on its mobile companion. Today we’re releasing DEVONthink To Go 3.0 as a new app with many new features and improvements as well as a modernized code base. (more)
End of April we released the first public beta of DEVONthink 3. Since then we published seven betas and received a lot of exciting feedback (as well as many less exciting bug reports). We used the time to iron out many of the unevennesses that accompany every major product upgrade and to fix the issues that you and we encountered. Today we finally released DEVONthink 3.0 officially. (more)
After the recent relaunches of our user community and our website some people have suspected that there is — in true Apple tradition — one more thing. And they were absolutely right, of course. Today we released DEVONthink 3.0 Public Beta with, quite literally, hundreds of new features and improvements. (more)
It’s done. After 15837 builds, 18 semi-public betas and six release candidates, DEVONthink To Go 2.0 is finally available in the iOS App Store*.
As promised, DEVONthink To Go 2.0 replaces the aged version 1.5.8 with a brand new app. We have rewritten it from scratch to take advantage of current iOS technologies and makes it more capable, faster, and more robust. It not only gives you a completely new user interface and a much enhanced feature set, with its next-generation sync you also get unprecedented flexibility. If you already own DEVONthink To Go 1.x, this update is free for you. (more)
Since first mentioning DEVONthink To Go 2.0 more time has passed than we anticipated. We started to build our own sync technology including our own cloud service to use in both iOS and Mac versions of DEVONthink in 2013. Unfortunately our approach didn’t work out as expected and so we boxed the project in August 2015 to write an alternative sync from scratch. (more)
With the Apple Watch comes not only the first wearable computing device that could reach the masses. There also comes the trend towards personalization. The Apple Watch Edition sets the new mark. Of course we don’t want to stand back and so we proudly present: DEVONthink Gold Edition. (more)
Some people say that our apps are not “social” enough now with Facebook and Twitter being still the main trends in the industry. We listened and proudly present a brand new freeware app: CareTaker for Facebook. Never get your friends kicked out of your news feed again. Don’t get calls from annoyed friends telling you that you don’t like their posts. And all this without wasting even more time on Facebook. (more)
In the last few weeks I have been working behind the curtain on a new online shop with a new provider, Avangate. The new shop is easier to navigate, much better integrated, and offers us a more modern backend. If you had problems with our previous shop check it out.
After Apple has, completely unexpectedly, released version 1.0 of a brand new app from us last week without any review delays and the update to version 1.1 yesterday we’ve finally officially announced it today. Meet DEVONsphere Express: the whole power of our unique artificial intelligence technology crammed into an easy-to-use app that sits in the menu bar and provides you with related data to whatever you’re working on. It’s like DEVONthink but without the need to keep you data in a database. (more)
