On February 26th we announced that we’ll soon start beta testing DEVONthink To Go 2.0 with a limited number of testers. Today we added the first batch of testers to Test Flight. Over the course of the next weeks we’ll add batch by batch. (more)

As you might know our company name comes from the Devonian Period. And so calling our blog Devonian Times was obvious. Just recently a reader pointed us to just another Devonian Times. Our good friends from Fournova in Stuttgart, Germany, have released the brand new version 2.0 of their Git client Tower. We use Tower ourselves for our code repositories and I’ve been beta-testing Tower 2 for a couple of weeks now. If you’re a developer you should definitely check it out.
Last week we’ve released updates for our popular freeware services WordService and CalcService. Today Apple has approved them for the App Store, too. Now you have the choice whether you’d like to install them directly from our download page or from the App Store.
This year we’ve sponsored the initiative 2North4South by All Shapes and Sizes, in part organized by Fred Sarran. Last weekend they did their non-stop 24 hour walk from from Fraserburgh in Scotland to Aberdeen. Watch a video about their great project on www.asascharity.org.
In the last few years we used Google Analytics on our website. It helps us to learn more about our visitors, which pages they look at, and where they come from. But, being a Google product, Analytics also comes with many privacy concerns. Starting today we’ve removed all Analytics code from our website and replaced it with Matomo. (more)
