After having released quite a number of video tutorials for DEVONthink we have finally also re-imagined the introduction video for DEVONthink.
Meet Jim, a university student graduating in modern literature about The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He collects articles, clippings, links, even paper documents, organizes them, and writes his thesis — all with DEVONthink. The built-in artificial intelligence assists him and finds connections between items that Jim even hasn’t thought of himself. (mehr)
Quite a few people have asked whether our apps are compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or not. As we are always updating our apps quickly for any new OS X release if there are issues we didn’t find it worth mentioning. But, just in case: There are some smaller issues of especially DEVONthink Pro Office with Mountain Lion, e.g. the not functioning Mail plugin (see below). But all in all all of our are working also on OS X 10.8. We will publish maintenance updates for all our apps, which will, of course, be also properly signed and so produce no Gatekeeper warnings. No, we don’t have a founder named Devon. And we’re not from Devon, United Kingdom, Europe. The name actually comes from the Devonian period:

Some might not know but the documentation that is built into DEVONthink, DEVONnote, and DEVONagent Pro was always also available as PDF. But after the relaunch of our website they looked strangely old-fashioned I have to admit. In the last few weeks I reworked the layout and adapted it to our new design. And, as I was at it, I dropped the landscape-oriented PDF for reading on the screen in favor of an ebook. (mehr)
