This maintenance release brings DEVONthink and DEVONnote to version 2.10.1. We have focused much of our efforts on making syncing use less resources, increasing its reliability, and syncing frequent changes more quickly. With the maintenance update to version 2.9.17 we’ve made the web interface of DEVONthink Pro Office compatible to current web browsers. Access your databases again from any Mac or Windows PC running Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge! Importing email messages via drag-and-drop skips already imported messages, and not yet downloaded messages don’t stop an email import anymore. (mehr)
With our maintenance update 2.9.16 for DEVONthink we focused on enhancing the built-in synchronization. We now let you import multiple databases at the same time from a sync location and pending items are automatically downloaded from the next available location. (mehr)
We’ve finally decided to replace the system PDF sidebar with our own code to fix some long-standing issues with macOS El Capitan and later. DEVONthink 2.9.15 brings a completely rewritten PDF sidebar that is not only more reliable than its macOS counterpart but also offers better clipboard, drag-and-drop, and keyboard navigation support. Today, in the heat of the summer, we’ve released another round of updates for DEVONthink and DEVONnote.
For version 2.9.13 we’ve updated our decluttering service for clipping articles from the web. In addition we’ve rearranged a few menu commands for clarity and improved importing bookmarks from Google Chrome. If you work in science or education you might like that you can now copy references also from Bookends purchased in the Mac App Store. (mehr)
DEVONthink To Go 2.1.5 was first with an update, today it’s the turn of DEVONthink, DEVONagent, and DEVONnote to receive an overhaul.
DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office 2.9.12 allow you to copy a universal URL for databases. Previously item links were only available for groups and documents. Link to other documents or to resources such as images and CSS files from Markdown documents with absolute paths too. Zoom or rotate images with trackpad gestures, set a reminder to a custom date, and access the subgroups of your Favorites in contextual, action, or popup menus. Finally, DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.9.12 let you zoom in and out of web pages with gestures. (mehr)
Two weeks ago Instapaper silently made their public API available only to logged-in users. If you are one of the DEVONthink users whose workflow relied on Instapaper here’s the fix release for you. DEVONthink 2.9.11 now uses our own Markdownifier web service for decluttering clipped web pages and articles and so removes the dependency on a third-party service. (mehr)
