OS X El Capitan became just available as public beta. Right in time, DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.6 bring important compatibility changes for it. In addition, DEVONthink 2.8.6 supports images referenced in Markdown documents. When importing Bookends references, DEVONthink imports their keywords too. PDF text annotations created by other applications keep their appearance. They are only restyled as soon as you edit them with DEVONthink. (mehr)
We have already updated DEVONthink popup: true and DEVONagent popup: true with the necessary adjustments for OS X Yosemite. Today we’ve released DEVONsphere Express 1.8 popup: true as well as new versions of PhotoStickies popup: true and XMenu popup: true. DEVONsphere 1.8 adds support for Finder and Open Meta tags, Scapple files, and diagnostic reports. It also uses Open Graph properties of HTML pages and web pages to provide more accurate results. On OS X Mavericks and later version 1.8 indexes email messages again. The update also reduces DEVONsphere Express’ CPU usage and improves its performance and reliability. (mehr)

The mountain lion is roaring and we all have heard its call. The update to version 2.4 tames the cat for all editions of DEVONthink and DEVONnote and feeds it with support for Notification Center and the new sharing services. Share documents with one click via iMessage, Mail, Twitter, Facebook, or Airdrop or add them to Safari’s Reading List. The update also brings a completely rewritten scan feature that’s available for DEVONthink Personal and Pro, too. And, of course, we have improved many other details and fixed bugs. (mehr)
Quite a few people have asked whether our apps are compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or not. But, just in case: There are some smaller issues of especially DEVONthink Pro Office with Mountain Lion, e.g. the not functioning Mail plugin (see below). But all in all all of our are working also on OS X 10.8. We will publish maintenance updates for all our apps, which will, of course, be also properly signed and so produce no Gatekeeper warnings.
